Fat Screw Press ST
The Haarslev Fat Screw Press provides continuous mechanical extraction of fat from cooked and dried animal and poultry by-products. As greaves move along the conical screw, fat is pressed out into the surrounding enclosure, while solids form a hard, low-fat cake. Available in two models – the compact ST press with hydraulic choke, and the high-capacity HM version with fewer moving parts – the design ensures stable performance, long service life and low maintenance costs.

performance
- 01Conical screw presses fat out of cooked and dried greaves, while fines and liquid collect in a trough and are moved to the outlet by a screw.
- 02Longitudinal knife bars prevent material from rotating with the screw, reducing buildup and supporting consistent throughput. (Page 3 diagram)
- 03ST models include a hydraulic choke for optimised pressure and dryness; HM models provide higher capacity with fewer moving parts.
- 04Collector trough efficiently removes fat and fines, improving downstream handling and processing. (Page 3)
- 05Wide capacity range with 280–6,900 kg/hour cake, 9–14% residual fat, and power from 22–200 kW across ST and HM models. (Technical table, page 3)
Automation and control
Press performance control
CORE-PRS controls choke pressure, torque and screw load to keep press conditions stable. This compensates for changes in raw material, reduces overload events and ensures consistent cake dryness while improving energy efficiency and protecting mechanical components.
