Onboard Fish Meal Plant
The Haarslev Onboard Fish Meal Plant is a compact, all-in-one processing line designed for installation below deck on trawlers and catcher processors. A standardised cooker–press–dryer configuration ensures high reliability at sea, while optional customised systems use waste heat to cut steam consumption by 10–20%. With a Twin-Screw Press, Disc Dryer, decanter centrifuge and advanced automation, this plant delivers high-quality fish meal and oil with minimal space, fuel and maintenance.

Built for
performance
- 01Compact, pre-assembled unit that connects directly to onboard power and pipework for fast installation and reliable operation at sea.
- 02Standard setup includes Twin-Screw Press, Disc Dryer, decanter centrifuge and automated control system with tablet-based operation.
- 03Vacuum flash tank and condenser cool sludge instantly from ~105°C down to ~55°C.
- 04Three-phase or two-phase decanter centrifuge options adapt to raw-material variability, ensuring consistent meal and oil specifications.
- 05Fish oil polisher and evaporator options improve oil clarity and enable higher concentration of dissolved proteins in stickwater.
Onboard process control
CORE automation stabilises cooking, pressing and drying by adjusting steam, temperature and flow in real time. Tablet-based control enables operators to monitor performance anywhere on the vessel, ensuring consistent meal and oil quality despite fluctuating catches and operating conditions.
