Twin-Screw Press
The Haarslev Twin-Screw Press extracts liquid from cooked fish or meat in wet rendering. Two intermeshing counter-rotating screws compress the material inside a slotted strainer cage, achieving high liquid removal with minimal slip. Bi-conical or cylindrical screw designs provide flexibility for different raw materials, with low-speed operation (≈3 rpm) ensuring long service life. The press produces a consistent, low-moisture cake that improves downstream efficiency and reduces overall energy consumption.
