Major investments in the US
26.01.2018 Press releaseSuccessfully following on from record sales in 2016, Haarslev is delighted to announce that 2017 saw the company realizing its highest-ever order intake, based on preliminary figures. Right at the beginning of 2018, Haarslev already has more than 50% of its sales targets for the year in the books.
Haarslev CEO, Han Defauwes, attributes these record sales achievements to the continuing implementation of the company’s new strategy, first rolled out during 2016. “We’re determined to continue improving our ability to quickly and effectively meet accelerating demand for Haarslev’s know-how, systems, equipment and services,” he says. “2017 has provided clear proof that customers trust Haarslev and what we can do.”
Major investments continue
Maintaining this favorable trend towards building a better company requires substantial ongoing investments, and Haarslev’s efforts are continuing at full strength. Haarslev has been investing in product development and production upgrades throughout 2017, in addition to streamlining and expanding our regional and local presences worldwide.
In particular, the company is investing heavily in its U.S. operations. “Demand for Haarslev products and services in the U.S. is on the rise, that’s why we have acquired an additional 4 acres of land next to our existing facility near the Kansas City airport to expand our manufacturing and service capability over the next 1-2 years,” explains Hans Henrik Nissen, President of Haarslev USA.
Customer care, development and innovation
Haarslev provides a uniquely strong combination of know-how, systems and equipment for processing food and feed industry by-products. We are the only global company in this highly specialized market.
As Mr. Defauwes points out, “Our strategy focuses on a strong, dynamic value-creation model that involves working closely with our customers to help them achieve leading performance and master their processes.
To provide our customers with maximum help in doing this with a minimum of bother, we’ve established a comprehensive new Customer Care program to provide customers with 24/7 help, guarantee them maximum uptime and reduce total cost of ownership for Haarslev systems.”
The company has also ramped up both its Automation & Control department and the Haarslev product development focus, and hired a highly experienced Innovation Director to head up this key department as of March 1.
