The Haarslev Air-Cooled Condenser uses a flow of air to condenses vapors from cooking or drying fish or meat by-products to help ensure effective odor reduction.
Multiple fans – each driven by an energy-efficient electric motor – blow ambient air through a bundle of tubes. The temperature difference makes the hot vapors condense, making it easy to remove the non-condensable gases that cause undesirable odors – usually consisting of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
These air-cooled condensers are also available in twin-pass configurations in which vapors condense in one direction, and then perform cooling duties while returning in the other direction. This provides maximum thermal efficiency.
